WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE OF LAKE DELTON POLICE DEPARTMENT'S WEB SITE
The Village of Lake Delton Police Department provides full-time police services for the Village of Lake Delton's approximately 2,800 residents and over 1.5 million visitors each year. The Lake Delton Police Department currently consists of 18 full-time officers, 5 Limited Term Employee Patrol/Boat officers, and 2 full-time police records clerks. Dispatch services are provided by the Sauk County Sheriff's Department Communications Center in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The Police Department provides officers to the Wisconsin Dells Youth Futures Program, a child safety seat inspector/instructor, the Sauk County Critical Incident Negotiation team, an officer for the Sauk County T.R.I.A.D. program for the elderly, a bicycle safety program, several officers to the Sauk County Drug Enforcement Team, several officers for the Sauk County Emergency Response Team and two range officers/instructors for the Sauk County Officers' Range. The Lake Delton Police Department also maintains an active Water Patrol on Lake Delton during the summer months, providing enforcement, boating safety and rescue activities. In addition, Officer Mike Horkheimer is a salvage vehicle title inspector, serving people from a wide area of the southern and central portions of Wisconsin. The Police Department is a progressive department that prides itself on being responsive to the needs of the people it serves, both residents and visitors and is a Community Oriented Police Department. The Department strives to keep itself updated with current technology in all of the services it offers. The Lake Delton/Wisconsin Dells area is an exciting place to live, visit and explore.
