LAKE DELTON 
WATER DEPARTMENT

The Lake Delton Water Department was created in 1984 with the first well for the south side of the Village of Lake Delton.

In 1994 the entire Village was supplied with water to provide safe water for the residents of Lake Delton and provide water for adequate fire fighting.

The Lake Delton Water Works is headed by David Sterr (Water Operator 1) and has a crew of one employee.

Together they maintain the six village wells, 1359 installed meters, testing and sampling of the water.

Lake Delton Water Works Department in 2010, the utility pumped 526,832,000 gallons of water to it customers.

About 889 Residential, 444 Commercial, 25 Public Authority, 1 Industrial meters are read monthly by radio read (MXU).

Radio Read – A MXU is attached to the meter and this allow the reading to be done by radio wave and the meter can be read at anytime with out having to gain access to the meter.
